So after several years of friends telling us, "This festival is GREAT! You need to be here!" We finally got the opening in our schedule. Da-da-daaaaa -
First stop after Scarborough Fair: The Port Washington Pirate Festival!
If you haven't heard of this intense four-day jaunt on the shores of Lake Michigan, it is one of the most popular fairs of its kind. Over thirty thousand flock to Port Washington's piers during its early June run to see live pirate fighting, catch the invasion and boarding of ships by said invaders - and hear the music of the sea. Romanticized? Sure. Commercialized? You bet! But who are we to disdain the legitimate promotions of the PW Chamber of Commerce, their only goal to lure the innocent into the temptations of pira- *cough* promote the attractions of their fine city?
And so, June 4th - 7th will see us on the shores of Port Washington, facing into the bracing June winds and giving our strongest voice to the loudest, most rollicking songs we know.
Plus - squee! - they told us we had to be available for the ship action! *jumping up and down* I can't WAIT!
*Ahem* - see you out there mateys! ARRRR!
